Dear Friends,

Last year I had the phenomenal opportunity to meet people throughout Atlanta and discuss our mutual concerns and practical solutions for improving our community through a more efficient judicial system. During these meetings, I was in awe by the responsiveness and services that I witnessed other neighbors in the city receive simply because they demanded more of our city government. Community activism, coupled with solid, accountable leadership, clearly makes all of the difference to City Hall.

With the desire deeply rooted in my heart to serve our community, I have decided to run for Atlanta City Council District 11. My family has been a victim of two mid-day burglaries in the last seven years and I know first-hand the overwhelming need for adequate police protection and response in our area. I am also acutely aware of the need for efficient city services, as I am in the midst of disputing the accuracy of my water and sewer bills.

In addition to concerns about crime and the quality of city services, many of us are also worried about the lack of educational and job opportunities within our community. As the mother of two young sons, I am also concerned about these issues and I am committed to doing all that I can do to make Southwest Atlanta a place where our families can live safely and thrive.

Please join me in making a difference in our community by spreading the word about my candidacy, volunteering to work with the campaign, donating to the effort, hosting a meet and greet in your home, placing a sign in your yard, and most of all, praying for me and my family as we all work together towards building the community that we deserve.
